My name is Mike Snitzer. I received my B.S. in Computer Science from Lehigh University. I am a Senior Software Engineer for Red Hat, Inc.

Linux is a freely-distributable
implementation of a UNIX OS that Linus Torvalds started from scratch while
he was a Computer Science student at the University of Helsinki in
Finland. It has since grown to be a collobarative effort between hundreds,
perhaps thousands, of developers across the Internet.
